Jeanette Cooper Novels

Drama, Passion, Romance, Mystery/Suspense

My life began on a farm in Georgia where I ran barefoot in the fields, often following daddy in the fresh plowed furrows, smelling the clean scent of fresh soil as it squeezed between my toes; or in season, chose a big ripe watermelon for our evening dessert.

My family moved to Florida when I was in elementary school, and I later graduated from Apopka Memorial High School

Following a period in which I married and gave birth to a son, I was involved in the Laubach Literacy Program called "Each One Teach One", which motivated me to enroll in college. I graduated from Valencia Junior College with an Associate of Arts Degree, and enrolled at the University of Central Florida, earning a Bachelor of Education Degree. I then continued on to receive my Master of Education Degree. I became an elementary school teacher where I was able to extend my love of writing through teaching creative writing to my students.

I have always enjoyed the feel of a pencil in my hand and the stories that could flow through the pencil lead. Having enjoyed writing since my youth, I found much contentment when I taught writing to my young students.  I wrote poetry and stories for them, which motivated their desire to write. I had dabbled with novel writing long before I retired from teaching. After I did retire, however, I put myself on a course of study toward learning how to write a novel. I bought numerous how to books  that I studied, and I read extensively novels written by others. Finally, I was ready to start writing, and once I started, I just couldn't stop.

Since 1998, I have written many novels. My first published book was Wall of Color, followed by Conquered Heart. Later books included, When Justice is Served, Impending Danger, Desperate Choices, Violent Visions of Murder, Dark Depths of Love and Under Suspicion. I am presently working on a thriller that will make anyone think twice about the man she marries.
